Febrary Again

It looks like abot every two years I go ahead and put up another post on this bloginski. I am right in the middle of getting everything ready for our conference championships, the scout auction, and spring USA Diving Regionals. Corey just finished his room and Caleb is bringing down his laundry. Stephanie is the most amazing wife ever and has been making me happy doing everything from fixing boys beds to reorganizing the basement. She is phabulous. I am looking forward to my next blog in two years. As I am sure you are also...

Rapid Temperature Change

So, its another trip from Florida to New York. I am experiencing a serious case of "don't wanna go!" The weather here is so great, but most of all I am going to seriously miss my little family here. I stomach is full and my heart is even more full. The time goes by too fast. I think that I am even even experiencing cold symptoms as a reaction to not wanting to return the cold winter environs that await me in Rochester. My Honey is most caring loving wonderful person and ?I hate leaving her. June 20 cannot come soon enough.

I am very glad I was able to make it down though. I was so happy to be able to spend Valentines Day with my sweetheart. It was also great to finally meet my future Mom and Dad in-laws! But oh how will miss my sugar!

Adventures in Dog Napping...

Well it seems as if all this is working out just fine. My captors are actually quite amiable. Now that my headache has worn off, I feel quite good and I have been off on a whirlwind of meeting new people and doing exciting things. We ate dinner with this wonderful couple and discussed recent novels by Stephenie Meyer, Christ Stewart and Dean Koontz.

My captors had me order whatever I wanted from the menu at a very nice restaurant here in New York. I had a most fabulous turkey avocado sandwich with delectable sweet potato fries. After this scrumptious meal we were whisked off to our next vacation stop....

After a quick test of the water, I found the water temperature to be just perfect for my very delicate complexion.

Here I am with my new friend, Gibraltar. Although very fast in the water, his doggy-paddling skills were no where near my proficiency.

What would a trip to New York be without a boisterous costume party.

How embarrassing... not having an appropriate costume at this very upscale event. These young men were kind enough to provide me with this excellent costume. I believe I fit right in. What do you think?
For tomorrow.. sky diving and a visit to an obscure construction site. Does the fun ever end?

Groggy on the bloggy

wite now things still seem a wittle brurry, but I seem to have all my appendages and most of my wits about me. I just remember sleeping comfortably and then waking up blindfolded with my paws tied and and having a wicked angry headache. I tried barking, but my normally powerful super-bark has been reduced to a small whimper. My situation seems to be one of a kidnapping. My kidnappers seem to be extremely resourceful and without regard for canine care. At least they succumbed to my insistence that I start my day by reading the WSJ. Dow Jones Down again... can this day be any worse???

I have only been able to gather the following information... I seem to have traveled from the warm sunny state of Florida to some extremely cold part of New York. I have seen more snow in past few hours than I have since I was puppy.

My kidnappers are obviously unprepared to give me any type of real food. All I want is some Purina One... Instead they tried to get me to eat this Chinese but after my outright refusal and snarling, I was able to negotiate some pizza. Chinese... pshhhhh.

They keep on asking me about my parents and saying thy know about my trust funds but I am not sure why they seem to be so interested in my stash of bones in our lot in Louisiana... Maybe I was little brash in wanting to escape from my eccentric owner... Somehow pine needles seem quite comfortable compared to this blistering cold snow.

Dang this headache....

Christmas time

So... There is strange phenomenon this time it gets cold and the malls fill up and I can tell it Christmas time because I am procrastinating like crazy. Even with only two of the 30 or so gifts I need to get, I am writing a blog about Christmas. Well here is the basic fact that underlies the Christmas Season. It is a time when we should think about Christ. Thinking about his birth, mission and ministry. All the other stuff is really connected to that. Family, presents, food, concerts and parties, it all should be related. It has not totally lost its true meaning, but it is slipping away. Christmas has never been a really been a great time of year for me. There are lots of little reasons, and big reasons that I am not going to post. But Mainly, I think it is because I forget to connect it back to Christ. The good news is that I have a plan for next year. Because next year is a leap year, I will have an extra day next year to do all my shopping. I will do all my shopping on Feb 29th, then I will be able to really enjoy Christmas 2008 and think how Christ can be a part of my Christmas Season, not just a part of my nativity set.
